Album Review By John Sylvia

Boston Rock Radio

Wow! I’m kind of at a loss for words, which doesn’t happen often, much to the dismay of many. Anyway, I was blown away by this album. Sent From Hell is the debut maxi  EP by Sydney, Austrailia’s Avalanche. This eight track album is a smoker through and through. It is comprised of four studio tracks and four live multi-track recordings and "tells the story of young, gutsy rock n roll through the interpretation of a new generation” with topics of sex, sin, and damnation.

Avalanche is comprised of Steven Campbell – Vocals/Bass, Veronica ‘V’ Taleski – Lead Guitar, Arthur Divis – Rhythm Guitar, and Ryan Roma – Drums. This band has such an energy that really comes through in these recordings. As I listened, I kept thinking, “I need to see this band live.” I hear such an interesting mix of influences on this album and I’m trying to figure out the best way to describe it. It is thrashy and punky, with elements of Rockabilly; it is rock n roll. The guitar work is amazing and has a way of jumping out and grabbing you, even with all of the other good stuff going on around it. If you have a rock n roll soul, this album will definitely feed it.

Listen to this one and listen to it loud.
