Album Review by Allyson Kingsley, Music Journalist

Boston Rock Radio

Formed in Michigan in 2015, Deepfall have been scorching stages and soundscapes with their fierce driven hard rock. The musicians are Rich Hopkins (vocals/guitar), James Sullivan (drums), Tim King (keyboards), Anthony Schnobel (lead guitar), and Taylor Brandt (bass). Each person in this band is talented in and of themselves as you will hear when you pick out each element from their Broken album. They have graced many stages in support of national acts such as HinderSoiLTantricSaving Abel, The Iron Maidens, Texas Hippie Coalition, and Wayland. After several listens to their latest release Broken I am eager to see Deepfall rise to become their own national act.

What you will hear in Broken are elements of classic rock with many touches of modern hard rock and even a venture into metalcore territory. The lyrics are raw and honest and Rich has such palpable emotion in his vocals. Songs such as "I'm Sick" and "Cancer" are enthralling and intriguing and filled with a richly organic sound that keeps the momentum running high. My favorite track is "Out of Line" as I am hearing a touch of some bluesy/southern rock influences embedded in its riffs.

Broken certainly kept my attention throughout and Deepfall are a band to keep your eyes on.
