Musicians Max Lavelle, Al Glassman, and Darren Cesca formerly in the band Goratory have reunited and along with their former and current bandmates, who are in the Black Dahlia Murder and Job For a Cowboy, to create the beast that is Serpent of Gnosis. Each member tracked their parts from home and ultimately the album was mixed by drummer Darren Cesca in his own House of Grind studio.

As I Drink From The Infinite Well Of Inebriation is an album that speaks to us of drug addiction from the sufferer's standpoint. All in our metal community have been affected in some shape or form by drug addiction whether it is from falling prey to its grip, watching a loved one ride the roller coaster, or even more devastating, losing a loved one to the maws of this demon.

From the first two songs, "Decoherence" and "Paroxysmal Dance,” we are tossed into the brutal whirlwind, ever trying to climb free, failing at every turn. We delve deeper into the guts of the monster with the agonal sounds heard on "The Colorless Capsules" and "Hemorrhaging Fabrications.”  You can feel the despair of the sufferer as he/she has to try to cover up their addiction and attempt to live a normal life even as their minds are spinning out of control.  "Harvest" brings to mind the fucking evil that are the pharmaceutical companies as they have literally harvested millions of addicts into their lair.

This is an album full of rage and anger and fully envelopes the absolute feeling of hopelessness of the opioid epidemic. By all means, every one of us should be angered; there is a very potent message embedded in this.
