Album Review by Allyson Kingsley, Music Journalist

Boston Rock Radio

Oddfellas is quite a neat little find in my emails of promotional material. From Pampa, Texas they are a relatively new band that formed in 2017 and have been industriously performing all over their southwest region. Their debut self-titled EP is certainly something different. It's chock full of catchy feel good rock with some undertones of stoner rock and alt rock.

Oddfellas craft a rich, retro feel. I'm really digging the slightly 70s feel to it and the uplifting feeling you get from it. This is definitely not doom metal.

This starts like a freight train guitars driving, drums pummeling and vocals flying with "Reason." "Blame" is simply rolling rock n roll and then you ease into the ever tasty "Wak on By." I think what I enjoyed most about Oddfellas is the palpable confidence you feel when you have a listen to them. Keep an eye on them as I predict the buzz is only going to get bigger.
