      Daxma is:

      Thomas I. - Drums

      Kelly D. - Bass, Vocals

      Isaac R. - Guitar, Vocals

Jessica T. - Violin, Guitar, Vocals

      Forrest H. - Guitar

Daxma is an avante-doom band from Oakland, California and no, I have no clue what all these subgenres mean but they're there for the sake of categorizing I suppose. Having had a listen to Daxma I was left floating in some surreal place. The 2-song EP is moving, lilting and simply pristine sounding to the ears.

"Minima Moralia" takes your breath away with its vastness of melodies and add the mournful tones of a violin and it simply caresses you from within. Add to it probably the most haunting and exquisite version of Stevie Nicks'  "Landslide" and this is a perfectly delicious little treat. "Landslide" washes over you ever so gently such as the feeling you have letting the ocean waves caress you on a moonlit summer evening.

Ruins Upon Ruins is a truly delightfully dark work. The doom elements are strong and the songs weave eloquently and elongated like the most tender of touches.
