Adorned in corpse paint and based in Southern Chile, Concilivm members A and Ω are back! The Veiled Enigma brings seriously sinister bass and guitar, intense drumming, and an “old school” death growl that will both terrify and satisfy your ears on this EP re-release.

Previously released on cassette in January 2018 (Von Frost Records, Canada), The Veiled Enigma is due to be re-released on CD May 31, 2019 via Dawning Septic Productions.

Listening to the intro titled “The Veiled Enigma,” I felt as though I was be drawn to the gates of hell. The haunting melody pushing me closer and closer to entering the depths where all hope is lost. From tracks “Dark Zenith” to “Ars Magna” and everything in between, Concilivm brought me on a journey through all nine circles of despair and back again, each track harrowing and intense in its own unique way. By the time I had played through the entire EP, I was left dumbfounded that two men brought such a powerfully composed album to the table. Bravo!

While listening, I did pick up on some influence from death metal pioneers Autopsy, as well as hints of influence from Demilich. Whether you are new or old to the death metal scene, The Veiled Enigma will take you back to death metal’s brutal roots.

Concilivm’s intricate, unique, and delightfully evil sound gets two thumbs up from this chick, and I look forward to hearing what these two gentlemen have to offer the future of death metal.
