Album Review by Allyson Kingsley, Music Journalist

Boston Rock Radio

Sandness hails from Italy and formed in 2008. Their discography includes Like an Addiction (2013) and Higher and Higher (2016). The musicians are vocalist/guitarist Robby Luckets, bassist/vocalist Mark Denkley and drummer/backing vocalist Metyou ToMeatyou. They have performed at multiple festivals and have shared the stage with Tygers of Pan TangReckless LoveHell in the ClubL.A. GunsAdam Bomb, among others. Sandness cite Motley Crue, Poison, Hanoi Rocks, W.A.S.P., Black Sabbath and Ozzy among others.

We kick off the 80s metal style good news with fun time tunes such as “Life's a Thrill” and “Tyger Bite.” Some may laugh but the hair metal/glam music always and ceaselessly puts a smile on my face. Hearkening back to the fun and debauchery of yesteryear, Sandness perfectly capture the feeling as well as give it a modern edge. My choice pick would be “London”; I just thoroughly love the flow of it and the rhythm.

Good to see that this style of metal is still on the map and come on, who didn't love it in the 80s?
