Despyre - "Irritation” Album Review

By:  Allyson Kingsley, Music Journalist

Boston Rock Radio

Despyre is one hell of a metal group hailing from Long Island, N.Y.  The members are Rob Malvagno, vocalist,  the guitar duo of Brad Maestro and Dennis Gaudio, bassist Kevin Cassidy and John D'esposito on drums. Their album,
Irritation, is due for official release on October 22nd by Pavement Entertainment.

This offering is a badass savage masterpiece from start to end. What an intense delivery of headbanging madness. It packs spine scintillating riffs and fiendish guitar solos worthy of speed/thrash metal guitar god status. I can imagine these men must have an intenses lively stage presence. The drum work is absolute precision and power, packing brutal blasts, the epitome of that demonic energy that grasps your dark soul. Noteworthy beyond the shadow of a doubt is Rob's vocals...something that gave me that delicious enticing heart/soul feel. He ranges from piercing wails to ominous roars. Intensity.

The feeling evoked by this powerful album is difficult to frame in words but may they be seated at the table of metal master giants any time.
