After years of non-stop with a truly impressive roster of mainstream rock acts, and achieving regional fame with weekly gigs all over the northeast, busy Pennsylvania natives Another Day Dawns finally slowed down in 2019 to release A Different Life. Both aggressive and melodic, this powerful rock album proves that ADA know how to put their collective energy in all the right places.

Dakota Sean (vocals), Tyler Ritter (guitar), Livi Dillon (bass), and Nick McGeehan (drums) manage to pack a full-length album’s worth of emotion and energy into only seven songs, including an epic intro to one of the heaviest, “Rage.” Frontman Dakota Sean’s voice transitions effortlessly between low growls and smooth, clean melodies. Sean’s masterful vocal styling enhances the unique message of each song, particularly the desperation and longing in “Empty,” which is followed by a beautiful keyboard-driven outro. “All Of Me” is reminiscent of 90’s radio rock, a slower, more contemplative song with beautiful backing vocals. The closing track, “Broken,” features infectious rhythms and a chorus that is guaranteed to get stuck in your head after the first listen.

The band followed up A Different Life with the release of a stunning, in-your-face music video for “Psycho” that pushes the boundaries and challenges the conventions of music videography. Clearly, the members of Another Day Dawns aren’t afraid to burst in and shake things up. With so much in the works, it’s hard to predict what the band will do next, but in my personal opinion, a headlining tour to celebrate the release of A Different Life is absolutely in order.
