I can never stress enough how many beautifully talented metal musicians originate from New England, which one has to include Massachusetts borne All That Remains, who have been imprinting on the scene since 1998. Victim of the New Disease will be their ninth album set to release on November 9th via Fearless Records. Quoted from vocalist Philip Labonte : "We decided to throw a curveball… and do the heaviest record since For We Are Many in 2010! It was the perfect way to follow-up Madness, where we did some different styles and songs and even covered a country song. People might've expected something more experimental, but throwing curveballs is what we do."
So now, with that teaser, we all wish the album release was sooner. Their first release from the album is “Fuck Love” and it explodes with unbelievably heartfelt anger, agitation and a hurt that not many of us are blessed to escape in life. I am reminded of how I feel each time I listen to the Pantera classic “This Love.” That feeling of being insanely unequivocally pissed off, a “how could you fucking do this to me” yell that we have all roared inside at some point in our life when your trust and faith in another is dashed to bloody bits. I live for songs sung and performed with passion, reckless abandon and “Fuck Love” encapsulates the fervency that is and has always been All That Remains.
