Album Review By Allyson Kingsley, Music Journalist

Boston Rock Radio

It's rather nice when a band like Krakow do not fit into any particular genre. You simply listen to the album with an unadulterated and open mind. Krakow have enjoyed a 13 year career span and their latest release Minus is simply eclectic.

You have the sludgy sound on “Black Wandering Sun” that is thoroughly heavy. Add the fact that Phil Campbell of Motorhead guests on that song “Sirens” which has the groove-filled riffing and some pretty bestial drumming. Both tracks, “Tidlaus” and “The Stranger” have that far out sound that reminds me of Hawkwind.  Add doom influences and prog elements and you get the scope of this very creative masterpiece.
