Icon of Sin is a project featuring vocalist and YouTube sensation Raphael Mendes from Brazil along with guitarists Sol Perez and Mateus Cantaleno, bassist Caio Vidal, and drummer CJ Dubiella. Signed to Frontiers Records they have crafted a momentous self-titled album. Raphael is well known for his Bruce Dickinson style vocals as can plainly be heard within the album as well as his numerous covers that quickly gained him fans from YouTube. His whole performance is incredible and there is a real maturity and richness to his voice and his melodies.

Icon of Sin is a no nonsense traditional metal recording with plenty of riffing, hummable melodies, and a rhythm section that slays. The cuts are heavy and solid with a good punchy production. Some metal veterans may balk at another Maiden-type band but this metal maven begs for and looks forward to the future metal legacy. What better way to honor the masters?

"Virtual Empire" captures the full range of Rachael's vocals beautifully. The musicians are phenomenal and "Shadow Dancer" and "The Howling" showcase their passion. The album is expectedly full of kickass riffs, killer solos and epic potent choruses. This is definitely an album you will enjoy listening to in full.
