Beyond the Rain

Scarlet Records

Release date:  12/8/17

Album review by Allyson Kingsley Music Journalist with Boston Rock Radio

WildeStarr is a heavy metal creation storming in from the state of Texas. Their upcoming release Beyond the Rain is due for release on December 8th via Scarlet Records.  The lineup is Dave Starr (guitar/bass), London Wilde (vocals), and Josh Foster (drums). This is a husband and wife team living out their dream and making metal together.  Many of the songs touch upon London's tragic loss of her brother in 2012.

Throughout the album you will feel how London is in total command of the many expressive soulful cadences of her voice and modulates it to perfection.  She is powerfully epic and melodic.  Josh Foster kicks up some dust on his kit as heard on “Double Red" and “Beyond the Rain.”  Dave Starr has dug deep to make every solo, riff and each melody the best it could possibly be.  Total passion on the vocals and lyrics of the song “Down Cold.”

“When the Night Falls" is my top choice on the album- snarling guitar sound, insane energy and the sheer metalness of her pipes. I am impressed by the remarkable individual talent displayed by these musicians. A live show must pack a punch.
